The first time we saw this tree on a hike, we thought we’d walked into a world of witches and wizardry… this tree is just too crooked and looming and twisted to be true. Yet it’s there – right by the path surrounded by cheery maples and green pines. We half expected it to get up and follow us down the path. Or just not be there anymore when we turned around…
